Registering for your subsidy

The first thing SwiftFare will ask you to do, after logging in, is to enter the details of your subsidy. We need this information to confirm your subsidy entitlement with Transport for NSW.

Your account number can be found on your current TTSS paper docket.

You only need to enter this information the first time you use the app.

Creating a trip with a known driver

To create your first trip with a driver you know, you start by selecting the plus button in the top right of the booking list screen

There are a number of pieces of information that need to be entered to request a trip. For example where you're going to and who your driver is. We try and make this as easy as possible by remembering past drivers and locations you've used. This means that they will be available via a single click, rather than having to enter the full details each time.

The first thing that happens is that you will be asked to allow SwiftFare access to your location. We use this to automatically fill out where you are coming from (this can be edited later).

Next you enter where you are going to. As you type, suggestions will be presented which you can select from.

Then you enter the mobile phone number of your driver. If they haven't yet signed up to SwiftFare we'll send them a SMS with instructions on how to get started.

With all the information entered you're taken to a summary screen. From here you can make any adjustments and request your booking. You'll receive a notification as soon as the driver accepts or declines your booking.

Note: At the moment this feature is for Android only, with iOS coming soon.

You might have more than one driver that you regularly take a trip with. To make booking with a group of drivers easier you can create a private driver network that only you can see.

The screen for creating a private driver network is accessed from the menu on the booking list page. The option in the menu is called "Your networks".

The first screen shows a list of the networks that you've created, which is empty to start with.

You can select the plus button to create a new network, and add drivers to it.

Once you've setup your network, you'll be able to select that network as your driver when creating a booking. All the drivers will then be notified when you create a booking and you'll be assigned the first driver who accepts the booking.
